In Life...

There are two types of people:
- People who give.
- People who take.

Now this applies for many things you can imagine in the world, tangible or not. And a person cannot be only one for everything, but he will be one for each thing. For example, money. Those who end up saving are the ones who take. Those who end up in debt are the ones who give. Now these examples may derivate from your conventional understanding of the words "give" and "take" but if you think about it for a moment you will understand.

This may sound tricky but if you tried, it works for the things that cannot be measured with tools or units as well. You see, (we're going into a touchy subject here) there's this thing we have as humans we call "love".

Now I know many of you are already on your feet, flailing your arms in protest of even thinking of measuring love. But think about it. Don't you think any person would either be more loved than he loves others or vice versa?

You see, there's only so much love to go around (much to contrary belief) and a lot of that love has been stashed away for other things like Jessica Alba, porn, Johnny Depp, money and God. So there's little left to go around for the other normal people.

People like me.

Oh I know you're probably going "oh great another self-pity session, that's bloody wonderful" but just think about it.

Unimportant, that's what I am.

Concentrate, Potter...

I can't believe I actually read a Potter book.

Actually, I think I read Prisoner of Azkaban back in 2000 but that was too long ago and I had since forgotten its contents.

Now this last book. It's good and all, but hardly the best book ever. I think Rowling succumbed to the temptation of happy endings. It could bloody well have been a darker ending, one with more impact and melancholy. I would have preferred that because seriously, the fairy tale "happily ever after" thing wears off the moment you turn 14.

On the topic of Potter, however, brings me to Snape. And the actor who plays Snape. I would die to have Alan Rickman's voice, I would. Perhaps his humour too? I don't know about others but I do find British humour to be quite appealing. And intelligent.

Maybe the humour I've been using all the along have been British. Blimey!

Got injured again, apparently. All over. Going back is good and all but this injury thing sucks. Ankles, shoulders... Well it's one shoulder but the other got pulled before too. My ankles act up without warning and they hurt a lot sometimes. Especially the left one. The right one's annoying but the left one's the one that yells "pain" in my face.

I don't think I can reach my back now. At least not as much as I could.

Ah yes, the girls are ignoring me again. It happens oh so often. I got indirectly rejected the other day and I didn't even flinch. I actually went "I thought so".

No idea but is that good or bad? It could be good because it means I'm over the fear of rejection thing. But it could be bad because that means I'm losing my realist sense.

I can't lose my realist sense.

I foresee myself twenty years later, living with my parents and playing games all day.

Of course there's all the other minor details like being fat, a virgin and on hypertension medication. Possibly other medication too.

But those are minor.

I know where I stand.

In everyone's mind... There are lists of people.

There's a list for the people they talk to.

One for the people they don't like.

There are too many people on my lists. For the large majority of them, I'm not on any one, or maybe on the third list of theirs.

It's not too hard to tell actually. I can tell for the first two because... Well. Nobody talks to me or approaches me for help.

And the other two... Call it instinct if you have to.

Ow.

So I have to go back to school on a non-school day. For MoCap. Turns out Anil had to take 2 hours off our 3-hour slot, making this trip pointless. And in our one hour we only managed to put on a suit and put on markers until there was always two less.

I put on the suit actually. It was not nice. I did a flip on the thin mat that they had in the studio and it hurt. I landed with my foot hitting the concrete but my body hurt more. I would admit that was stupid.

After that I met my mom for lunch. We went to Pepper Lunch at Novena Square because I had an appointment with the doc at TTS after that. The food is nice. Price isn't so bad. Recommended.

According to my mom, I had to wait more than 45 minutes for the doc but I was asleep in the waiting area so I'm not really sure. My liver is healthy again but from the numbers in the report I'm still in the higher part of the healthy range.
