Of mikes and softboiled eggs.

The day was average to ok. In school, that is.

After school six of us went to the K Box at AMK, somewhere in the inner part opposite the MRT station. All of us were guys, so the whole session was loud, low pitched and generally off key.

I went off early to meet Catherine to trade books. Talked a bit over coffee and kaya toast and softboiled eggs at Ya Kun. Then I went to the library for a while to start on Celestine Prophecy.

Then I was on my way home when I met Jo at the basketball court. Played a bit, ended up eating dinner with him and comparing our different programming languages.

Nothing to do at home except the talk-cock session with the Judokas. Well.

Bye.

Initial D

For Drifting. Maybe Depressing.

Whatever.

I couldn't get anybody, so eventually I got my sister to watch the movie with me.

It was a nice movie. Not bad. On the funny side.

For someone who doesn't read the actualy manga or watch the anime, I find the ending very dry. Otherwise it could mean it leads to whatever happens next in the story.

I have school tomorrow. Bye.

Why....

This...?

Somebody tell me. Please.

Attention NYP Judokas!

I've gotten the photos up! w00t!

First, the heavyweights.

[Anti-vlockwise from top right: Wei Xiong(aka Doraemon), Me, Ay Deng(Club President), BJ, Dennis(aka Uncle)]

There is still the heaviest of them all, called Kenneth I think. He didn't come yesterday. Then there are the girls. Well, the ones who were there yesterday.

[Clockwise from top left: Wan Ee(aka WWE, Uncle's girlfriend), Lilies, Jessica(aka First Lady, President's girlfriend), Hui Shan, Wanshi, Xinyi(aka Piyo), Kaiyun]

Then we have the Shadow clan, which of course is led by Shadow.

[Extreme right: Anthony(aka Shadow)]

I don't know the names of the others yet. Ok never mind let's move on. There's another couple in Judo, except I'm not sure if the girl was in Judo or not.

Guess which pair the couple is? It's the one on the right. I don't know any of their names except the guy in the middle. His name is Ivan.

Then we went out for a group photo! It was taken at quite a range so it's a little blur. Ok, so a little, very. But what the heck.

So that's all. Ciao!

Judo is fun!

Especially with the seniors. I mean seriously. I nearly got my neck broken in a hold by this senpai but that's besides the point.

The day was ok. I mean, yeah. We did some texturing in VisArt using Photoshop, but our wntire row was distracted by the things happening next door. What? Well, how about Halo 2 and Dead Or Alive Ultimate? An XBox in a classroom! You know how serious that is? That's like a Quran in a church(Sorry if I offended anyone but that's the severity of it)!

Anyway, after that we had our break and I ate, sat around a bit and played some ball. Sucked. Long time since I last played. At least I managed to win a match or two.

After break was Maths. We all got back our results, and I got a freaking 9. I know this may make the people who failed want to crack my head, but seriously. A stupid mistake. A new careless mistake. Seriously dumb.

After school I waited around a bit, read today's New Paper and then headed on to Block E for Sakuraan. The Japanese Cultural Club. It's divided into many divisions but personally I have no interest in Japanese dances or music. Neither have I got any interest in making samurai hats with small pieces of paper. It's anime and anime only.

I left halfway for Judo because 1) it was boring my ass off and 2) the other people in Judo who were there were gone. So I filled in some form and got a change of pants and went off.

Sensei Francis was in. I came in halfway during the "mat slapping" exercise for n00bs. I joined in after some stretching and yeah things went on doing n00b stuff.

After that we learnt holds. And we had to challenge the senior belts by escaping their holds and holding them ourselves. Nobody succeeded in escaping and only one person succeeded in holding.

Me.

I watched and learnt a bit so I figured out how it was done. Then this brown belt senpai challenged me (I don't know why) and obviously I couldn't get out of his hold, and he held me like he was trying to kill me. It was only after letting go of me when I found out I injured my neck area. Serious ouchie.

Then we had some randori (free sparring) from the seniors, and then we were asked to try some out ourselves. The same senpai challenged me. He slammed me once, and then I did a near suicidal move later on by holding his leg from behind and bringing him down with me.

We ended and blah blah blah. We went for dinner at AMK. We pulled in 4 tables and all of us sat around them. I took some photos after we ate, but I'll upload them some other time.

Initial D opens tomorrow. Ciao!

Fear.

School was short and sweet. Well almost. But it was sure short.

After school I just slacked. Came back to Woodlands and watched Batman Begins. Nice movie. It was very dark in contrast to other Batman movies, just as how Prisoner of Azkaban was compared to the previous Harry Potter movies. It was about fear, nice theme. Batman was a ninja! That's interesting.

"It isn't about what's inside. It's what you do that defines you."

After that I met up with Jo, Piyo and Kaiyun for some pool. Piyo had this really bored and "smelly" face throughout and I thought something/someone pissed her off. Turns out she was damn tired. Well. After that we had Jap food for dinner. They paid me go pay with all their coins.

Then we went home and yeah. Quite late. Watched some TV.

VisArt tomorrow! Yay. Ciao!

What the...

Did housework. Blah.

Went off to AMK for Ghost Squad. Realised what a n00b I was finishing three Level 3 missions with like a thousand credits in front of the pros who completed Level 15 missions with one credit.

Maybe it's the guns.

So I was playing and then all of a sudden, this girl came up to me and asked, "Ni shi Ah Ben ma(Are you Ah Ben)?" Then I was like shaking my head like an idiot. And then I saw her going out with a few of her friends.

I wonder what if I said yes.

Anyway, came back and bought the stuff for the fried rice for dinner. Watched TV, played CS, and talked to the Judo people. Mostly cock.

Well, I'll see you all around sometime. Ciao!

Things to do when bored.

Singaporean teenagers are quickly becoming the most bored population in the world, and today I'll try to help by giving advice to these bored teenagers about what they can do when they are bored. These are tried and tested methods by teenagers around me, and I can assure you they will work on them.

Ok, enough of the intros, straight into the topic. Nowadays teenagers are being exceptionally skilful at multi-tasking, and is slowly turning into a bare essential when looking for a job.

Let's look at the computer! It has many things you can do at the same time, most of which all of us are adapted to already. But I can make it even more exciting! You will need a most powerful computer. Refer to information on the PS3 for processor specifications, a corporate server for RAM and about hard disk drive with a capacity of around half a Terabyte. The rest do not matter.

Ok. First, get internet connection. I recommend Starhub's fastest connection account. When you go on the internet, set up two Hotmail accounts and download the latest version of MSN Messenger. Make sure your PC's Operating System is Windows XP or later, because you will also need the Windows Messenger. Then set up accounts for Friendster, Zorphia, Hi-5, Multiply, Zebo and all the other Friendster clones out there you can get your hands on. Next, download free Massive Multiplayer Online games like Gunbound and Maple Story into your computer. Set up accounts for all of these.

Now, here's the exciting part. Run all the games you downloaded, sign into both accounts using both Messenger programs, and start writing your profiles for all the Friendster clone accounts. Alternate between windows using Alt + Tab.

1) Make a shot in Gunbound.
2) Hack some goo in Maple Story.
3) Reply to some babe/hunk whom you added for fun.
4) Write your full name and e-mail address in your Friendster account.
5) Write your full name and e-mail address in your Zorphia account.
6) Reply to another idiot who added you for no reason.
7) Write your full name and e-mail address in your Hi-5 account.
8) Write your full name and e-mail address in your Zebo account.
9) Reply to your friend you just added.
10) Go back to see your "n00b!" messages in Gunbound.
11) Revive your dead character in Maple Story.
12) Reply to the babe/hunk.
13) Select your marital status and country, and write your birthdate in your Friendster account. 14) Select your marital status and country, and write your birthdate in your Zorphia account.
15) Reply to idiot.
16) Select your marital status and country, and write your birthdate in your Hi-5 account.
17) Select your marital status and country, and write your birthdate in your Zebo account.
18) Reply to friend.
19) Join any game in Gunbound.
20) Talk to random character in Maple Story.
21) Reply to babe/hunk.

Continue until you complete all your account profiles, won ten games in Gunbound, leveled up to 20 in Maple Story and all your contacts have said a "bye" at least once.

The next day, download a file-sharing program like Kazaa or Limewire and start downloading all kinds of music, whether you like it or not. Repeat all actions of first day while you do that, and then when you have filled your half of your half a Terabyte hard disk with your downloads, play all on them on Windows Media Player. Remember to do all of these while repeating the actions of Day 1.

** This is illegal, but what the heck. **

This will be all for now.

>>> Next: Filling up your other half of your half a Terabyte hard disk with animes with BitTorrent.

Nice.

The day started pretty nicely. Met Lynette at the MRT station, and got to talk a lot during the ride.

C++ was a little fun. A little. We had to write some BMI program, made conversions from integers to their binary and hexidecimal forms. Then we modified that same program to output the additions of numbers in binary form to output, well the result in binary form. By binary form I mean something like 49 becoming 00110001 in an 8-bit data.

Some of us worked for a really long time on the programs, staying back about an hour. All of us were hungry and cold by the time we finished, and went over to Mac for lunch. Two of Melvin's friends showed up with a cake and we celebrated with them after lunch. We sang really loudly too, the second time. It was terribly deep so it kind of sounded like a bunch of army buddies singing.

So after that we browsed the techie shop again, and went off to Ang Mo Kio for games. I got a Ghost Squad card and Tio Fake and Jessen helped me a bit to get used to the thing.

We played some more other stuff, but I mainly watched because I was a little spent using my arms in the shooting games. Judo warm up the day before tired them out so they were still aching quite a lot.

After the games we walked back to school and Tio Fake and Jessen went for badminton trials while me, Gerald and Dominic went on home.

Totally busted.

I was nearly late in the morning for the VisArt thing. I wasn't so yeah. Shh.

Everyone started presenting and acting out their stories, and most of them had fighting scenes and most of these have either "Revenge" or "VS" in them. None too surprising. Some were really lame and stupid, but hey, each man to his own.

Anyway, I never got the chance to present because every thing was just laggy and I was the last group in my TG. So much for anticipation on my part.

After that was a break until the Maths "pop quiz". We ate and then went to hang out at the open but unoccupied LT-M2. We talked about many, many stuff. From X-Men to Rowan Atkinson to other stuff. Really nice, having such a big discussion.

Then the Maths "pop quiz" was boring. To put it nicely, it was less challenging. To put it badly, it was simple (don't whack me!). I mean seriously. How did these people get into this course without being good in Maths? (don't whack me!)

Anyway, so after that we went around a bit as I waited for Judo to start. I broke off with them and met Piyo at the atrium area. Then we went around, looking for the location and then when we got to the sports hall and met Joseph. That was after she found out she didn't bring her lanyard, which means she forgot to bring her student card, which in turn means she would not get in.

She was freaking out and then she called a friend from Judo and borrowed a card to get in. So we went in, and then listened to the sensei talk about the history of Judo and stuff like that. Then we had demonstrations of fall breaks, which would be the first and only thing we learn for a while. It's nice though, the reason behind it; prevent injuries. Simple.

Then we had like these training exercises and then some of us joined in and then after that we were doing like this icebreaker thing with the seniors. I remember Wei Xiong (a.k.a. Doraemon to his fellow Judokas. Looks kind. Black belt), Wilson (the guy who is the person to turn to in times of trouble for Piyo, Kaiyun and Wanshi), Kenji (some guy whom Piyo keeps talking about. Apparently he's handsome), Huishan (some girl I don't know very well) and Uncle (real name unknown, or heard but forgotten. Finished his NS. Possibly served as a Talk Cock Specialist, because that's his most powerful asset other than his Judo and Aikido skills). The rest I remember by face and belt colour and not by name. Perhaps if I join I will.

Then I got slammed by the "Black Belt SEA Games Representative When He Was Younger And Won Bronze Medal" sensei and I was positively crushed. I stayed on the ground for a minute or so. Then he was slamming everyone.

After it ended everyone pretty much left except for our gang of five, who stayed around for extras with the seniors. Joseph left earlier because his parents came to get him for dinner. Then the four of us stayed and talked to the seniors about Judo, puns and the others who took almost forever to come down.

It turned out there was food prepared for the freshies but was never served. Thus the whole fare of finger food to be provided for 70 was to be divided among the about twenty seniors, one sensei and four freshies. Kinda a lot for each person. Kinda.

We left after eating a little. And we all went home. Blah. And now my left thigh is cramping every time I try to lift my left leg. Really badly. Hope it heals by tomorrow morning.

Shirokuma Kenpou: Kami no Shou!

That's my self created move. It's only a small movement and a pushing of the palm to the opponent's chest. It would require a large amount of chakra/spiritual energy/internal energy to execute it.

Hah, anyway. Maths tutorial was fun as usual. After that we were talking about hairstylists. The favourite among guys has to be the towel. I mean, seriously guys. You go for a shower, come out, go dry your hair with a towel and just look in the mirror man. That hair.

I had Soba for lunch! I wadded that wad of wasabi into the sauce for it and just whoo! It's so much better than chilli. It doesn't leave a nasty after taste. If spicyness was measured using bombs, wasabi would be conventional dynamite. It goes boom and it's gone. Chilli would be something like an atomic bomb. Or a chemical missile. It explodes, and the whole place just stays shitty for a while. Not good.

So after lunch was the C++ lecture. It's only an hour but it really puts me to sleep. I have no idea why though. When he started telling us things we're not supposed to know I was publicly announcing that I was awake.

After that I went to print the Digital Entertainment Systems (DES) assignment, and then after handing it in to Heber who handed it in with everybody else's and went off to AMK for pool with him, Jessen (it's pronounced Jason, FYI) and Boon Kin (nicknamed "Tio Fake" because it's his tagline).

We started with a 2-on-2, with me and Jessen. We lost, sadly. After that we decided we should play individuals, and have everyone match everyone. I went against Heber first, losing with one ball left. Tio Fake lost to Jessen because he scored the 8-ball (take note).

Then we had loser against loser and I lost again at the last 8-ball. Heber lost within five minutes to Jessen in winner against winner because he scored the 8-ball (take note again). They had a rematch and Jessen won eventually.

The last match was me VS Jessen. The curse of the 8-ball was abound today, and Jessen was benefitting from it greatly. In only 3 shots, I have lost the rack because I scored the 8-ball too. I rematched and won with some luck. Heber VS Tio Fake was fast, because Tio Fake made a Death Break. They rematched and Tio Fake won.

So we paid for the pool table and decided to play in the arcade too. House of the Dead 3 was still tough for me. The second boss was something I never got pass. Shooting ankles/wrists were just dumber than shooting heads.

Then we played this 4 player Co-Op game and spent all our credits there completing the game twice. Well, twice because the first time, everyone else died and they were inputting credits and all came in. Being the only one left I defeated the weakened boss, only to find out in a while it was the final boss.

The credits weren't going to go to waste so we played a second time, and this time we spent our last credits at the last boss and Tio Fake finished it off himself. Then we left. Heber went back to school for the Tae Kwon Do trials, and the rest of us went on home.

Fun day. Oh yeah. There's the Visual Art Techniques thing tomorrow. Hmm. Looking forward to acting.

What a day.

So yeah. It was Jiawen's birthday yesterday.

I went out at around 11 to my ah ma's place for lunch and her bah zang(yes, she wraps them herself). After about an hour and a half I went to the other grandmother's place to bring her my ah ma's bah zang because she's still recovering from her recent stroke so she can't wrap any. Then we stayed around a bit and went ahead home.

My sister and I came back and the first thing that we got was a blank monitor. It went (insert electrical and laser-like sound effects) and then it just stopped working. After a whole lot of cursing and swearing I moved my own monitor (the OS is down so it's no problem there) and fixed it up. I cursed and swore some more.

The afternoon was spent on Gunbound. Yes. Old times.

Then at evening Joseph and Jiawen came over to "celebrate Jiawen's birthday". I did it by winning Pokemon Monopoly. Don't ask. Then we also ate some of my ah ma's zang and then they went back. Whoo.

I had a hell of a day today doing housework. Other than that it was a pretty boring day. TV. Then this.

*yawn*

See you all around tomorrow.

Have I mentioned...

I have a deep self-pity for myself? I think I did a couple of times.

I think I kinda like the robot from H2G2. He's so depressing he's funny. Kinda like me, only less depressing to other people.

Right...........

So anyway, I signed up for a total of 5 CCAs during the Club Crawl that's been taking place these past couple of days, and they are Sakuraan, Archery, Aikido, Judo, StageArts and NYPals.

Well, cosplay, shooting, fighting, acting and talking shouldn't be a problem, only if I try to do them all at the same time. Sooner or later I'd have to choose. Hmm.

Archery must stay. Sakuraan..... Hmm. I always wanted to learn a martial art, so I'd have to choose between Judo and Aikido. And then there's StageArts and NYPals. Maybe I'll take StageArts. Hmm.

Ok. So... Yeah. Not that anybody would care

School.

Ok, I'm having a break from Visual Art Techniques. So far so good.

I think.

Anyway yesterday I went to the Thomson area with Kevin and Melvin, two of my classmates, to play some CS.

We had some really huge n00b exposure yesterday.

Well, it was fun.

I'll see you all next time.

Happy Birthday to me!

First of all, for all those who don't wish me a Happy Birthday by midnight, shame on you.

Ok, now to the serious part.

The day started pretty ok. I think. It just seemed like any other day. Well, not really. Had lunch at this place in Marina. Pariss. Buffet. My favourite, sort of say.

It has many, many types of food. And I can say I ate everything I took except for the smoked shark. Yes, shark. It tasted absolutely horrible. Sharks are no good at all. Yuck.

And then we went to get a phone for my mom. I get her old one! Whoo hoo. A 3230. Not very old. Nice. And then after that I went for Madagascar with my sister.

I like to move it move it, You like to move it move it, He like to move it move it, She like to... MOVE IT! If memory serves me well I think it's from Ali G.

Then I came home and I ate dinner and busied myself with the phone. Muahahaha.

I'll see some of you in school tomorrow.

Saturday, June 04, 2005

Let me explain.

I hate outings. Why? Never mind if we're going somewhere to walk around or shop.

Movie outings are the worst. Why? Because things like "sorry coming a bit later" isn't something I can tolerate for a movie. Because 1) the movie doesn't wait, 2) I don't want to wait, and 3) waiting sucks.

So everytime something like this happens and I blow my top and be a jackass and nobody is happy. What's the point then?

So tomorrow I would rather have people come over, even at different times. I mean seriously. Non-movie outings you have to wait until everyone is here and then what this what that. Troublesome. Movie outings, don't even mention it for a crowd this size.

So a lot of times I watch movies alone. I can go in in time, and can be free of distractions. I actually tried watching Hotel Rwanda on a weekday afternoon once. The whole theatre was empty except me, a family and a couple. It was relatively quiet throughout and I can focus on the show.

And so you guys who are total dumbasses and have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, go to my profile and look for clues. Think "tomorrow".

Current Game Level

I'm probably at the part where the character goes into a new terrain or climate.

Everything's different; you get to acquire different weapons, meet different NPCs, fight different (and tougher) monsters (at a higher rate).

Your trusty handgun just doesn't seem to cut it anymore. Ammo keeps running short. You never seem to get the design of the maze of a level, and keep losing your way, thus having fighting unnecessary battles and wasting already precious ammo.

The difficulty is always set on the default level: Life. And it's so damn freaking unpredictable sometimes. You'll never know if the monsters you face next are tougher ones or easier ones. It's so un-linear.

This game sucks. It probably won't sell.
