They still exist
I woke up earlier today to go to the post office at the Civic Centre. And my goodness was there a queue! Thankfully it wasn't the one I was to be joining later.
Went over to Causeway Point first and went shopping for a card. Managed to find one that looked good and had good stuff written in it eventually, and I went down to Pastamania for lunch while I wrote other stuff in it.
I'm very proud of my personalised-for-recipient signature. If only you saw it, but like its name suggests, only one person will see it.
When I was done I went over to the post office again, joined the queue, and got an envelope. I put my stuff in, and sealed it, and rejoined the queue. Then I chose the method, and I ended up filling up for papers. I was smart enough not to rejoin the damned queue again and just went up to the counter. I was paying for it when I saw the price and I thought maybe it'll get rounded off but then I got 1 cent coins as change!
I must admit that I thought they have since gone extinct. Well, what a surprise. Hello again, copper coins.
Well, it's the last day of the year and I hope 2008 doesn't suck for anyone. Except the people I hate of course.
