Dungeons & Dragons
The following post will put me in a most geeky light.
Therefore I would like these following people to please be advised:
- People who like me and will like not to have anything to destroy that, please do not read this post.
- People who hate me and will like further evidence to support that viewpoint, please read on while rolling your eyes constantly.
- People who love me . . . hold . . . no. I think . . . broke the . . . time continuum . . . *white noise*

I spent 12 hours yesterday sitting in a Burger King in the middle of Orchard Road with a bunch of friends, playing Dungeons & Dragons.
I'm Leon, a 4th level Sorcerer. We were on a special long run module that would bring me up to 5th level by the end of it, which usually takes about 6 or 7 short regular modules on my difficulty level that last about 4 hours each.
We also had Solomon the Flan-speaking spiked chain Fighter, Faylar the elven Rogue-Fighter, Allan the Druid-Wizard and... Gerard the halfling Faylar-wannabe. *sigh*
Well it was a long journey with 23 encounters, only being able to stop after 15 or so to find a magical fountain that healed us and restored our spells.
It got increasingly frustrating near the end as the healing resources started to diminish and the halfling's incompetence didn't help. We managed to survive everything, but it wasn't without a fair share of luck.
Oh well. I still wish the Scout-Ranger came instead.
As the party's main caster artillery I was consistently pumping out damage standing behind the fights, except for one of the encounters when I got struck down in one full attack from a Fiendish Wolverine. It caused us to use a lot of healing that encounter but on the bright side I saved my spell slots.
My new spells were working very well, especially burning hands which made short work of the swarms we met. We're still relying heavily on the Magic Missiles, mainly because it's confirmed damage.
I'm getting new spells this level and I intend to nuke the buggers to hell.
Ciao.
