Life is a game.
Those who play...
Play against the entire world.
There are no saves.
There are no walkthroughs.
There is only one chance.

Pardons, my lord/lady...

It seems I have read A Song Of Ice And Fire too much, and it has gotten into my head. Nonsense, the previous post with the foolish sword and shield analogy. I am not strong enough to wield to sword. I am only but a craven who hides behind his crossbow.

The session today was almost pointless for me. It amounted to about two hours worth of real work, and just two bloody encounters, the first where I saved spells when I shouldn't have and the second where I got lucky and managed to pass the succubus' spell resistance. It certainly took the joy out of buying a masterwork cold iron dagger as bling.

Faylar is now Eve, a 5th level Cleric of Paelor. Thank goodness for him, or the Fighter would surely have been slain.

Being sole caster and going up against flyers (who occasionally dropped to reach to attack), I was again the main damage dealer of the day.

The rewards of the adventure were utterly useless to me, a sorceror (other than the gold and the XP of course). I should have just gone up to that succubus and let her kiss a level away from me. It'll delay my death by a most significant amount of time that's for certain, especially after hearing the DM's horror stories of a module at a higher APL where a symbol of death laid in wait behind a simple door.

It was of course beyond our reach and there was no harm telling because we were certainly not going to play those modules as they expire at the end of the year; that means nine days.

Nobody would be free, it seems. At least somebody would be out on every day, so I'm guessing on taking a break until 2008 arrives.

Bloody 2008. Okay, wishes for the new year!

Maintaining status quo with 姫様. My guts tell me I don't want to find out what happens when I am exposed. That same sinking feeling I get before something I never like happens.

Every. Single. Time.
