Work work...
In case nobody knows, I'm working! Yay!
I don't know my job title, my job specification and pay rate because there are none of those (well there'll be pay, but no idea what it pays)! But it's okay. Because it's with a relative.
I work here:

See the door on the left? That's where all the lights are kept. And there are a lot of lights in there.
So first day at work. My job would be to turn this:

To this:

And I'll explain to you how with pictures in a second. But first let me tell you what it is. These are 16 Ampere plugs. You know the common domestic 3-pin plug? Those are 13 Amperes. So these babies are used for the big guys, projectors that run on 3000 Watts and whatnot.

For illustration purposes (and because I only took photos for one set), I'll be showing you how to fix a female 16A plug. Ok so first, you gotta seperate the shell from the head. Then you put the shell through the cable first, like so:

Now we leave the head aside for a while. Let's look at the cable:

It's one thick black case covering 3 colour-coded thinner ones that cover about 20 copper wires each. So first, we cut a small section off the black cover and exposing the three thinner ones within:

After this we go in another level and cut these covers off the copper wires, and you will get this:

Now we need to do is connect the wires to the corresponding hole in the head of the plug:

After the wires are screwed in and secured, screw the lock around the cable so that rough handling of the cable wouldn't result in dewiring the plug.

After this is done, pull the shell of the plug back to the head and lock it in place.

Congratulations, now we have a completed extension cable ready for use.

So I spent the whole of the first day doing that, on my makeshift workstation, with its own name.

I continued doing that until after lunchtime on the second day. I should also mention I had a hand injury due to the excessive use of the cutter and the screwdriver, and also a lot of pulling.
So after lunch I was told the job would never be completed because there were an almost endless amount of such cables waiting to be fixed, so I was swtiched to doing something else.
My new job was a little easier on the hands. It tested my patience a little though:

I was supposed to sort through that. Get the good, long ones and wind them up. Dump the rest. This was what I got after a long while:

After a day or so, my assignment got changed again. My new job yesterday was to label these babies:

These are neon light tubes. They weigh quite a bit (nothing I can't handle), and I was to label nearly 300 of them in total. With tape and a marker.

These are just 2 sets I completed. I was supposed to complete 14. This time I had a makeshift workstation too. I think it was called Carton No. 8. Go ahead, take a look:

Now I'll still it until I finish all 14 sets. I finished 11 when I left work early today. So i'll be ready by tomorrow morning I guess.
Should I also mention the two lovable guard dogs they have? I don't think they have names though.
This is Yellowie:

And Blackie:

They bark for free. But are rather nice. Blackie's more friendly though. And I heard Yellowie once jumped over the fence where they kept them so they had to raise the barrier.
They were out for what reason I have no idea. They bark at passerbys and cars while outside. Funny.
Well. It's 2 more weeks of work. We'll see what happens to me then.
Ciao.
