Utter Disgrace
Let me first make a couple things clear:
1) The only side I'm taking is the club's. I do not wish to explain myself further.
2) Before you decide to lash out at me, it is advisable and prudent that you reflect on your own actions and behaviour.

Let's start with the original issue at hand. On Wednesday 28 November 2007, an NYP Judo briefing was called by the new president Jaya at our new training venue, the amphitheatre.
From the most of my knowledge, and most importantly, that briefing included a section where Jaya allegedly accused Wilson of persuading juniors, specfically Amanda and Salvana, to skip Judo so they could "go shopping".
This has caused two noticeably furious posts made by these juniors in question.

Before reading further, I would require you to, if you haven't already, go to these blogs and find the posts dated 29 November 2007 that are filled with anger:
Amanda
Salvana

I should also note that I have heard that Jaya has said that he intends to bring Francis back as he believes "Francis can bring the club together".
Notice the posts were not directed at Jaya himself, as they have decided that he was only acting on information that has been fed to him by somebody.
My initial conclusion was that the person they were talking about was Ben, as he was closer to these two and was working closely with Jaya as the Junior Leader in the new committee but an analysis by Leo have proven me very wrong.
He has concluded that Amanda's post was directed at Anthony and Salvana's post was at himself. Their posts have clearly stated that they think Wilson has been backstabbed by these two men, and thus also making Jaya wrongly accuse them of skipping Judo for supposedly less important things instead of school work and projects as they have claimed.
Prior to Leo's reply on his blog I had a conversation with him and Joseph. We lamented this splitting of the club due to more political play, and discussed ways to solve this problem we had.
A suggestion popped up, and that was that the very act of trying to personalise the club is segregating the members to the ones who stay back, train and have dinner together and the ones who don't, and is the root of all the mentality that has sprout in the club. Therefore the way to solve the problem is to "make the CCA a CCA"; to professionalise the relationships among the Judokas, meaning to come in and train at 4 and leave at 6. No other activities, no group forming.
I hated that idea.
Will it be any better than what we have now? If everybody could come in every week and meet the same people and still be strangers three years later, there won't be a three years. Nobody would stay in a club that's as welcoming as a freezer.
Even Amanda's post reads that she has stayed for the past few months because of the people and because of Wilson's persuasion.
Earlier, Leo posted his reply on his blog.

Find the post dated 1 December 2007 and read his reply:

During the conversation, the two of them suggested that the club lacked self-discipline. I said no. The members didn't lack self-discipline. They lacked respect.
Look at these two. So eager to criticise and to insult their seniors. Perhaps they have forgotten the ones who taught them all the things you knew? Or maybe they think they were that talented so they didn't need teaching anyway?
Or maybe, like Amanda says, Judo means nothing to them. Coming back every training was just giving Wilson face.
When this batch came in, we thought that since the older ones were gone, the club would be peaceful and everyone would get along fine. Never did we expect the level of corruption has reached this point in their minds.
It is especially disappointing for me considering that more than a year ago, I left precisely of the utter corruption of the club by petty politics on the seniors' parts.
And with the state the club is in right now even without all these bullshit going on, I wonder if there would even be a club by the time the Year 3s graduate. During Jaya's briefing he has also mentioned that the club's survival now heavily depended on large amount, regular attendance.
As far as I can remember, the only yellow belts who are consistently showing up for training are Chee Ka, Ben and Yong Xin. Do you know how pathetic it is compared to the numbers we had only a few months ago?
But I must admit that it the the norm every year. About thirty juniors would come in, and as time passed by the number would half itself again and again until the ones who attend regularly are left.
Do you know or even begin to realise what the three of them, Anthony, Leo and Wilson, have done for the club? I doubt so. They were the ones who started extra training on Friday. They were the ones who would take their time to teach both the slower and eager members. It is because of them that people stay. But time and time again they get thrown away and betrayed by the very ones they took under their wings.
They are resisting from Francis taking training because his harsh training methods scare people off. They are the ones who are actively trying to stop the halving of the club and you two, Amanda and Salvana, are actively destroying the efforts of the very one you respect.
Next time, before posting such nonsense again, I would like you to ask yourself a few questions:
- You ask how much they know about you. How much do you know about them?
- What does the club mean to you? Does it even mean anything to you? How much do you know about what has happened in the club before?
- Does it make sense that Anthony and/or Leo is/are backstabbing Wilson when nothing can be gained from it, and the fact that they hold extra training together on a regular basis?
On a final note, I should tell you two that you have been an utter disgrace to the club, to Wilson and to yourselves.
And when we know who it's been feeding Jaya the wrong information, there is hell to pay.
