Happy Chinese New Year!

The tagline of Jack Neo's latest movie "I Do, I Do" is "Love comes knocking this Chinese New Year. Cock cock cock."

Anyway, wave goodbye (and enthusiastically please) to our primate friend the Monkey here, who brought us the bird flu (it's so ironic, isn't it?) and Jerry Ong.

Say hello to the bird, who might turn bird flu into a human-to-human virus, the Rooster. Or the cock. Whichever you want.

First thing in school was Lion Dance. At first it was very boring. It wasn't even loud and lively enough. And then when this older guy took over the symbals, and the lion got a replacement, the whole thing just sprang to life.

After that was other boring stuff, including a skit, a very cool Michael Jackson impersonation dance number, a very disorganised performance by a rock band wannabe, and dances from the three ethnic groups.

I went off to my grandma's place straight after school. I practically spent my day there. I ate, I drank, I watched my father and my uncles gamble, the usual.

Well, Happy New Year everyone. My last post of the Year of the Monkey.
